Fascinating transport history

People have a weakness for unusual means of transport in the Bergisch tri-city area. Wuppertal has the suspension railway and Solingen has trolley buses. It’s no surprise then that many visitors are blown away here.
The history of electric buses goes back a long way in Solingen. Thanks to the excellent work of trolley bus company Obus Solingen e.V. the old trolley cars are still preserved today and in operation for show purposes.
The old trolley cars are housed at the depot of public transport company Solinger Stadtwerke. This site is not open to the public. So, if you want to see the trolley cars or book a ride, please sign up early!
