Manor houses, castles and gourmet temples

“I believe that every now and then the gods drink their nectar thus and oversee half the earth on silver clouds” gushed Johann Georg Jacobi when he visited Bensberg with Johann Wolfgang Goethe in 1774. This loop hiking trail traces his footsteps. There are four very different castles, manor houses and stately homes to discover along the 9.3 kilometre “Bensberger Schlossweg” (Bensberg Castle Trail).
