The Bergisches Land and it’s oldest town

“Where the forests still rustle, the nightingale sings, the hills range high, the anvil rings out...” This is the start of the Bergisch song of home, whose verses accompany hikers on the “Heimatweg” (Home Trail) through the oldest town in the Bergisches Land. The information boards along the way inform hikers about the land, people and what makes the Bergisch region special. In addition to views over the Bergisches Land, on this trail you can also see other regions of the Bergisches Land.

At an audio station, you can listen to three different interpretations of the Bergisch song of home.

  • Duration: approx. 3 hours

  • Loop trail

  • Start/End point: Marktplatz, 51688 Wipperfürth
