Where Kölsch is brewed in the heart of the Bergisches Land

The 13.4 kilometre Bierweg (Beer Trail) runs through the town of Wiehl past the Erzquell Brewery.

Along the way, seven information boards explain to hikers how beer is produced and what the different ingredients do. The trail also explains storage and shelf life with interesting facts about beer around the world.
