The Reichshofer Wacholderweg (Juniper Trail)

Dead tree with healing powers

It is a dead tree steeped in legend that also has healing powers: the juniper once defined the Oberbergische landscape. This loop trail invites you to discover one of the last remaining juniper heaths. 

Over 5.5 kilometres the tour runs through the protected juniper heath past Branscheid in the holiday district of Reichshof. Five information boards explain the many facets of the evergreen juniper trees, steeped in legend, and their healing powers.
