Trail markings on the Bergischer Panoramasteig

The Bergische Panoramasteig (Bergisch Panorama Trail) is signposted throughout with yellow markings. Follow these signs and enjoy the wonderful views over the hills without having to look at your hiking map all the time.

In addition to the markings, there are also signposts indicating the most important points. Restaurants, accommodation, train stations and sights are signposted there. The signposts show the distance to the next point mentioned on the trail. You can also find your way quite easily without a map.

The end of each stage is marked with a stage stone and therefore cannot be overlooked. There is a plaque on the stone with a saying that makes you want to go hiking. The large stones are perfect for a souvenir photo of the hike.

Please note we do not maintain the marking in the winter months because of the weather conditions. Missing markings will only be replaced the following spring. We ask that you inform us of missing markings so we can replace these as quickly as possible.

Markings on the access and connecting paths

In order that you can immediately find the right way to the The Bergische Panoramasteig (Bergisch Panorama Trail), several access routes are signposted. Most of the access routes begin in town centres, at trains stations or at sights and bring you directly onto the The Bergische Panoramasteig (Bergisch Panorama Trail The dark-coloured signs carry an image of the Bergischer Panoramasteig. The signs have a blue border, making them easily recognisable.
