The eighth stage is a very wooded stage with a high proportion of paths and constant ups and downs. Directly from the start, the Bergischer Weg leads along narrow forest paths down to a Siefen, up to the outskirts of Forsbach, back down to another Siefen and up again to Forsbach, before descending along a forest path down to the Sülz to Hoffnungsthal.
On the other side of the valley, the Bergischer Weg now climbs steadily for two kilometers, first through residential streets, then along narrow and wide forest paths up to Lüderich (ascent approx. 160m), where you cross the Am Lüderich golf course as you circle the landfill site (hikers are welcome in the golf bistro). The route continues with lively ups and downs along narrow paths and forest trails past Bleifeld and Durbusch to Honrath, where there is a connection to the regional train RB 25. The Bergischer Weg now leads down into the Agger valley, which it again accompanies on forest paths, partly on the heights and partly in the valley, to the end of the stage in Overath-Broich.
