The Bergischer Weg is Germany's most beautiful hiking trail 2024!

The second stage runs from Velbert to Wülfrath.

Cultural delights such as the baroque Hardenberg Castle and the pilgrimage cathedral of Neviges, created by Gottfried Böhm, line the route to the source of the river that gave Düsseldorf its name. The Niederberg Museum at the end of the stage in Wülfrath not only invites you with historical delicacies - a culinary flagship of the region is also served here by prior arrangement: the Bergische Kaffeetafel.

Walking time: approx. 6-7 hours

If you hike the Bergischer Weg and take photos at certain points along the way, you can collect points and receive a hiking pin. Further information is available here.
