Dass die oberbergischen Talsperren mehr zu bieten haben als ihr Wasser, zeigt die Wiehltalsperre.

Right at the start of this stage, there is an island to discover that has become famous as an advertising medium for a beer brand. Christmas tree plantations line the route up to the highest point of this stage near Erdingen, from where you can enjoy a view over large parts of the Bergisches Land. Rome is not far from here either: the Upper Bergisch equivalent of the Holy City even has a helicopter landing pad as well as a chapel and offers a worthwhile detour before the path leads down to the main town of the municipality of Morsbach.
