... which is still called "Wipper" above Wipperfürth, ensures that there is never a dull moment on the way to Marienheide. Wide views over the Bergisches Land and into the Sauerland also provide variety, so that even some steeper passages are mastered almost casually before the historic pilgrimage site of Marienheide at the intersection of ancient long-distance paths is reached.
