Federal Chancellor Adenauer House Foundation

Short facts

  • Bad Honnef
Konrad Adenauer, the first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany (1949-1963), lived in this house from 1937 until his death in 1967. Guided tours through the private rooms and the garden give an impression of his lifestyle and bring to life not only the politician but also the family man, inventor, boccia player and rose lover. The permanent exhibition "Konrad Adenauer 1876-1967. Rhinelander, German, European", which opened in 2017 in the exhibition building below the garden, offers an exciting journey through Adenauer's life in the context of four eras of German history.
