Arrival in the Bergische Wanderland

By car

Motorways 1, 3, 4, 40, 45, 59 and 61 take you directly to the Bergische Wanderland (Bergisch Hiking Country) or right past it. So there are optimal connections from all directions. Ideally, you should plan how to get here using a PC route planner, for example Google Maps.

By train

Starting points may include Cologne Central Station, Essen Central Station, Bonn Central Station and the Central Station in Wuppertal. You can plan your train journey using the journey planner on the Deutsche Bahn website.

By bus

The entire Bergisches Land is serviced by a well-developed bus network. There are good connections even to the smaller villages. There are also good connections from the airports in Cologne/Bonn and Düsseldorf.

Please use the journey planner for the regional public transport providers at Verkehrsverbünde Rhein-Sieg and Rhein-Ruhr.
